Nights are drawing in and no matter how many years we experience it, it’s always a surprise when the sun sets earlier and earlier. According to my little weather widget on my desktop, sunset is at 16:18. Croatia being at the eastern end of this time zone will take some getting used to.

Finished my second week at work. It’s been 7 years since I last had to try to fit in with new co-workers and it does feel weird. Even then, I always felt a bit of a loner and outsider, the quiet one. Of course in this situation it’s worse in that I’m not comfortable speaking the language. Everyday I’m getting to grips with understanding the words, but speaking will be tough. Even nouns have different endings depending on context. Getting a headache just thinking about it.

Added some things to the site a few weeks ago. There’s now a fiction section with one short story I wrote a while back called “Jigsaw”. There’s also a croatian translation that Sara did. I’ll try to get some more up there that I hope she’ll do the same for (once she’s over her bout of flu that is.)

The other addition is Project Freecore under the music tab. It’s my first hip-hop project and will basically involve me rapping badly over Creative Commons licenced tracks. Big concern right now is the crappy on board sound on the desktop pc I have here. Can’t get much volume from my hand held mike without nasty hiss. I could try using my Mini 10v and see if that’s better, but will the little Atom processor cope with a Real time Kernel? Just have to see.
